My names Carl, I’m a qualified joiner and DIY enthusiast with NVQ 2&3 in joinery. As well as a HND in construction management. I’m in charge of all the content and editing on this site.

My name is Carl Lewis and I have been a qualified joiner since 2004. I also have a passion for DIY, this involves everything from fixing things around the home, to renovating entire properties.
Back in 2012 I decided to work for myself and concentrate on my own projects, this mostly involved buying run down properties and renovating them. I also became interested in publishing online and have written on may topics including joinery, construction and DIY.
The DIY Fix was started to answer peoples DIY questions. The site covers a wide variety of topics and the content is designed to answer everything from basic questions to more advanced guides. All of the content is based on my own experience working in construction and on my own projects.
